Taste: Mellow and smooth body, with chocolate and caramel flavours, a gentle fruity acidity and a sweet aftertaste.
Brazil is the world’s largest coffee producer and responsible for growing a third of the world’s coffee beans. It is one of the few countries in the world with a climate that allows a method of dry processed beans (left out in the sun). Around 80% of Brazil’s coffee is Arabica; Brazilian coffee often has ashy, earthy flavours and is renowned for its mellow smoothness. This makes it a perfect base for espresso blends where it produces more crema, adds body and provides a sweet backdrop to other beans in the blend.
