This commemorative Kendal Mint Cake Tea Caddy celebrates our 200th Anniversary, 1819–2019, and features one of our most distinctive blends. Inspired by the Lake District’s famous Kendal Mint Cake, this tea brings together heritage, flavour and a touch of local sweetness. It is a blend that captures the spirit of the region in every cup.
We start with our popular Lakeland Special black tea. To this, we add pure peppermint leaves and real pieces of locally made Kendal Mint Cake. The result is a refreshing, sweet and aromatic brew with a lively minty finish. It is a unique blend and a true celebration of local tradition. The flavour is uplifting, smooth and gently sweet without being overwhelming.
This tea makes a charming gift or souvenir from Kendal, but it is also a delicious drink to enjoy at home. It can be served hot or prepared as a refreshing iced tea. For a summer twist, brew a small amount of tea, pour over ice and add sliced strawberries. It is a fun alternative to classic summer drinks and a perfect garden party option.
