Description
This commemorative Old Kendal Smoke Tea Caddy celebrates our 200th Anniversary, 1819–2019. It marks two centuries of Farrer’s heritage while showcasing one of our most distinctive in-house blends. Bold, aromatic and unmistakably smoky, this tea pays tribute to Kendal’s long history of snuff production and the deep, earthy scents once associated with the town.
Old Kendal Smoke Tea is crafted from a blend of fine black teas sourced from China and Sri Lanka. The combination creates a smooth yet powerful cup with a smoky edge that lingers pleasantly. It has a medium to strong character and offers a flavour profile that appeals to drinkers who enjoy something bold, warming and memorable.
The taste is strong, smoky and aromatic. Each cup delivers depth, richness and a sense of tradition. This tea can be enjoyed with or without milk, though many prefer it black to appreciate its full smoky aroma.
To brew, use two teaspoons of leaves and steep in freshly boiled water for 3–5 minutes. Adjust the steeping time to suit personal taste. This blend is ideal at any time of day, whether you want a morning boost or a robust evening cup.
Each commemorative caddy contains 100g of loose leaf tea and is designed to keep the blend fresh and aromatic. It also makes an excellent collector’s item or gift for anyone who loves strong teas with a unique character.
Old Kendal Smoke Tea is a bold celebration of history, craftsmanship and the unmistakable flavour of the Lake District.
