Matcha, a form of finely ground green tea, is highly sensitive to its environment. When exposed to air, light, moisture, or heat, it can lose its vibrant flavour, delicate aroma, and valuable nutrients. To ensure the best experience, our Matcha is carefully packed in premium 30g aluminium tins, each sealed to lock in freshness.Additionally, we store all our tins in cool, dark conditions to protect the tea from any potential deterioration, preserving the rich quality and taste that matcha lovers expect.

Water constitutes around 99% of matcha when prepared in a ceremonial way.In fact, the term Chanoyu, which refers to the Japanese tea ceremony, literally translates to “hot water for tea”. Using fresh, low-mineral water enhances the taste and aroma of the matcha. Moreover, the ideal water temperature for preparing matcha is between 70°C and 80°C (158°F to 176°F). This careful attention to water quality and temperature is essential for achieving the perfect cup of matcha.
